Hearts & Roses

In remembrance of the mothers of Operation Iraqi Freedom Fallen Heroes, Judy Donica sent patriotic hearts for the Spartan Warrior graves at Arlington National Cemetery in Virginia:  SSG Henry Linck (3/509th), SSG Jamie Wilson (3/509th), SPC Matthew Bolar (1/501st) and 1st LT Colby Umbrell (1/501st).  She also sent a patriotic heart and cross to 3/509th CPL Toby Olsen’s mother to place at his grave at Punchbowl National Cemetery in Hawaii.  The patriotic wooden crosses will be placed at the Arlington National Cemetery graves on the Fourth of July.  Judy will place a heart and cross at Dustin’s grave in Texas for Memorial Day and July 4th.

SSG Henry Linck was Dustin’s Able Company squad leader in Iraq.

For Mother’s Day, Judy “took roses out to Dustin’s grave.  Without Dustin and Courtney I wouldn’t be celebrating Mother’s Day.  The two of them made Mother’s Day special and a day definitely worth celebrating.”
