Dustin Donica Memorial Game Room At BAMC

Center For The Intrepid, Fort Sam Houston, Texas
The Dustin Donica Memorial Fund is being used to create a Game Room for the recovering soldiers at BAMC, at Fort Sam Houston, TX. This exciting room sounds just like something DD would love.
If you would like to contribute to this fund, please see the information on Dustin’s site:
April 16, 2008 E-mail from Dustin’s mom to the families of the 3/509th:
“This is what we know they’ve decided on so far: 4 XBox 360’s, 4 PlayStation III’s, 5 High Definition Projection Units, and dedicated screens for each system, which will allow 16 wounded soldiers to compete at once. They should be having another meeting soon with the 3 wounded soldiers who are ecstatic that they are getting the opportunity to help “design” this state of the arts gaming center. The assignment given to the 3 soldiers was to research and come up with an additional wish list. The new center is supposed to open this fall and I hope to go to the ribbon cutting ceremony. I will keep you updated on the progress of the gaming room.
There is going to be a BBQ on May 17th at the new Warrior and Family Support Center at BAMC to let everyone see the progress that is being made on the new building and get a feel for what the new Warrior and Family Support Center will look like.
The actual ribbon cutting for the finished building is scheduled for Fall 2008. I’ll keep you updated.”
See BAMC Soldier & Family Assistance Center post on this blog for updated information.
